If you build ponds like me, you believe in creating a complete ecosystem. That means we have low fish numbers and we feed them sparingly.
Below is a video I made on why I hardly ever feed my pond fish. Having said that feeding the fish is fun. I think the best sort of food, you can feed fish, is food that most represents their natural diet.
Lately I’ve switched to using insect based foods for most of my fish as that more mimics what they would eat in the wild.
