I think one of the best ways to filter a pond is using a bog filter. Bogs provide exceptional results and are cheap to make.

If you are using a container to create the filter you will need to create some water tight seals. This can be done using uniseals or bulkhead fittings.

The easiest way to connect your pond pump to your filter is with flexible pipe. I made a video showing the various ways you can connect your filter to the pump, you can view that at the bottom of this page.
